I really do keep looking for comments, ideas about the class. I’m willing to take a chance since my access is limited except when I’m on campus or at the local library (one hour).
Let me suggest that our first intended audience should be U of M TC undergraduate and/or graduate students. We should try to do a flyer for the beginning of school with address of a dis-orientation website. I think that it should inform as an Activists Action Guide (Inform of Rabble Rousing areas to connect with)
There should be an intro about the disparities at the U — economic, social, decision making, etc.
Many of our brainstorm ideas fit together under this topic.
Another topic (my favorite) would be working together at the U (us against the powers that are making this a training ground for being part of a corporate environment rather than providing ecucation to succeed. This would bring many of the other ideas together. Decrease in staff, loss of general college — regular students, workers, students, faculty administrators.
Connect to buildings — e.g. McNamara which is not a U owned building that was originally called Gateway since that was what it was to be. Williamson is beginning point for visitors. Asking legislature for dollars to destroy science classroom building and build a new one to serve as a hub.
Need to go back to work now. See you soon. Marie
